What does DegreeSight do?
DegreeSight modernizes credit evaluation. Our platform evaluates high school, dual enrollment, military, and prior college credit. It combines automation with full institutional governance, so colleges and universities can turn credit transparency into an enrollment advantage. Prospective students get credit answers in minutes instead of weeks.
Who is DegreeSight for?
We work with colleges, universities, and state systems that want to recruit and enroll students who already have credit. That includes recruitment and admissions, credential evaluation and pathways, academic operations, and system offices. More than 100 institutions already use DegreeSight.
How does it work?
There are three steps:
- DocSight reads transcripts with OCR at 99%+ accuracy.
- Inbound puts self-service credit answers on your website and turns each one into a lead.
- Insight runs instant prospective degree audits that map those credits to your programs.
Our Workflow Engine automates the handoffs between them.
Is DegreeSight just transcript OCR?
No. Reading a transcript is the easy part. The hard part is deciding what the transcript means for your institution: which courses match, which rules apply, and how those credits count toward a specific program. DocSight reads transcripts with 99%+ accuracy using a multi-layered extraction process, not a single OCR pass. Everything after that is where DegreeSight earns its place: matching equivalencies, applying your policies, and running a degree audit the student can act on.
Where does AI fit in, and who makes the final call?
AI does the repetitive work: reading, matching, and suggesting. Your evaluators make the decisions. Every rule, equivalency, and exception stays under your institution’s governance, and every automated decision can be traced back to a rule your team approved. We automate the workload, not the judgment.
Does DegreeSight integrate with my CRM and SIS?
Yes. DegreeSight connects with Slate, Salesforce, and HubSpot on the CRM side, and with Banner, Colleague, PeopleSoft, Jenzabar, and DegreeWorks on the SIS and audit side. It supports SSO through SAML, CAS, OAuth, Azure AD, and Okta. It works alongside your current systems, so nothing has to be replaced. In short: Slate manages the prospect. Banner manages the student. We manage the credits.
Is DegreeSight secure? What certifications do you hold?
DegreeSight is SOC 2 certified, with independently audited security, availability, and confidentiality, and it’s hosted on Microsoft Azure. We’ve completed the HECVAT and have a VPAT ready for procurement review. Our data practices are FERPA-aligned.
What results do partner institutions see?
- Up to 90% faster transcript evaluation.
- Roosevelt University reached 80% automation at launch.
- Oklahoma Christian University increased transfer enrollment by 30%.
- Corban University integrated 32 community colleges and eliminated manual credit recalculations.
How long does implementation take?
It depends on where you’re starting from, but implementation takes no more than 60 days. Every plan includes expert setup support, training for your enrollment and registrar staff, and workflow optimization. DegreeSight sits on top of the systems you already use, so nothing has to be ripped out and replaced.
