to Better Serve Incoming Students

Challenges
Jeff Abramson was two months on the job at Oklahoma Christian University (OC) and was identifying immediate needs that the enrollment office had. He observed that the current process for performing incoming student transcript evaluations was taking too long, involving too many people, and was only available to applicants.
Solutions
OC implemented DegreeSight’s TraCC product, a credit calculator that automates existing articulation agreement data and learns new rules the more it is used.
TraCC helped to not only centralize the process, it also made it available to all incoming students, and significantly decreased how long it took to get the students a response. Jeff also noted that “the credit calculator is transparent, and the more transparent you can be, the better off you will be”.

Results after 8 months with DegreeSight’s Credit Calculator: 146 users logged in, 51 new inquiries with 8 deposited, 722 courses submitted and 122 new rules created. Oklahoma Christian University is a private liberal arts institution in Oklahoma City, OK, with 2,250+ students.
