Technical implementation manager
Own the implementation phase end-to-end, from kickoff to go-live. You’ll be the project and technical lead who turns new partners into live, successful launches.
Modernizing how higher-ed serves today’s students
DegreeSight is unlocking the legacy systems higher-ed runs on so colleges and universities can finally recruit, evaluate, and enroll transfer students at the speed today’s students actually move.
Who we serve
Colleges, universities, and higher-ed systems modernizing how they recruit, evaluate, and enroll transfer students.
What we build
An AI-powered platform that automates transfer credit evaluation, accelerates admissions, and drives enrollment growth.
Why it matters
Every clear answer we help an institution give is a student who enrolls, finishes a degree, and gets to write the rest of their story.
The launches we need owned
DegreeSight is growing fast, and so is the number of partners we bring live. We’re looking for a Technical Implementation Manager to own that phase.
Reporting to the VP of Partner Success, you’ll lead projects from kickoff through go-live, managing scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholders.
The shape of the work
Four overlapping responsibilities, one owner of the launch.
Implementation delivery & project management
- Own end-to-end delivery of the implementation phase — scope, schedule, resources, budget, and risk — from kickoff to go-live.
- Build and maintain project plans, timelines, and RAID logs; run regular status and steering updates.
- Manage scope changes and risks; escalate blockers early to protect launch dates.
- Maintain implementation playbooks and technical documentation for repeatable launches.
Client-facing implementation lead
- Lead kickoffs, technical discovery, and integration planning; align stakeholders on timeline, milestones, and success criteria.
- Serve as the primary project and technical point of contact throughout implementation.
- Translate client business needs into actionable technical requirements and workflows.
Cross-functional & development collaboration
- Act as the bridge between clients and our development team on requirements, dependencies, and timelines.
- Ensure timely, accurate platform configuration and integration setup across internal teams.
- Communicate status, technical trade-offs, and decisions clearly to executive, client, and engineering audiences.
Go-live, handoff & continuous improvement
- Lead go-live readiness, cutover planning, and a structured handoff to Partner Success and Support.
- Own post-launch integration changes and optimization; monitor performance and scalability.
- Support sales as a technical SME and apply new tools, including AI, to elevate Partner Success.
The shape of the candidate
Delivery instincts first. Here’s what actually matters.
Must-have
- 3+ years leading SaaS implementation or technical projects end-to-end, owning scope, schedule, risk, and stakeholder communications.
- Experience managing API or data-driven integrations in SaaS environments.
- Strong communication skills; able to lead technical conversations with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Familiarity with PM methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) and tools like Asana, Jira, or Smartsheet.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
Nice-to-have
- Experience in Higher Ed; knowledge of student information systems (SIS) and CRMs.
- PMP, CSM, or equivalent project management certification.
- Familiarity with standard software development practices.
